Title Cold Darkogenesis: Dark Matter and Baryon Asymmetry in Light of the PTA Signal
Abstract In this talk, I discuss the possibility that the recently reported nano-Hz gravitational wave signal by Pulsar Timing Array (PTA) experiments is caused by a strong first-order phase transition in a nearly conformal dark sector. The resulting strong supercooling exponentially dilutes any pre-existing baryon asymmetry and dark matter. To address this issue, we develop a mechanism of cold darkogenesis, which generates a dark-sector asymmetry during the phase transition through the textured dark Higgs field. This asymmetry is then transferred to the visible sector via neutron portal interactions, leading to the observed baryon asymmetry.
