Title EDM bounds for electroweak baryogenesis in two Higgs doublet model
Abstract Electroweak baryogenesis is a promising scenario, which can be tested in various future experiments. In the mechanism of electroweak baryogenesis, new sources of the CP violation are needed to generate baryon asymmetry of the Universe. It is constrained by the current EDM bounds, and these bounds will be improved in the future. In this talk, we discuss CP violation, EDM, and electroweak baryogenesis in two Higgs doublet model. We consider a scenario where the top quarks generate the baryon asymmetry, but the light-fermion couplings are suppressed to avoid those strong constraints. In our scenario, it is found that the leading contributions arise in the top-quark EDMs at the two-loop level. They induce the electron, neutron, and proton EDMs via radiative corrections, which are correlated with the baryon asymmetry. We show that our scenario is compatible with the current experimental bounds and is within the scope of future EDM experiments.
