Title What is the CFT dual of BPS black hole microstates?
Abstract Black hole microstates in the D1D5 brane system are dual to states in the 2d D1D5 CFT. A large number of BPS microstates have been constructed in supergravity. An important question is to find their CFT dual. The D1D5 CFT has a large set of BPS states at the non-interacting point. Perturbing away from this point towards the supergravity point leads to some states becoming non-BPS. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the D1D5 system, the CFT dual and how to perturb it away from the non-interacting point. I will then talk about recent progress in finding the BPS states in the D1D5 CFT away from the non-interacting point and the implications on BPS black hole microstates.
